1. Problem Statement
This RSA Video was created in efforts to explain the Ferris Wheel problem in a visual manner and have it be quick and in my case, simple.
2. Your Process
In order to create this Mathematical RSA Video we went through a variety of steps.
1. Partner up and choose what each of wanted to do to make it all come together. I chose to be the animator and editor. But in order to to that I had to ask my partner Rafael to write a script so I knew what I wanted to draw exactly.
2. Next, I drew thumbnails in a storyboard sheet so I could picture roughly all my ideas before I began drawing on a whiteboard. I wanted my video to come out looking like it was natural and that it wasn't so uptight and perfect. It wasn't a stop motion one so you could see my hand erasing the marks on the whiteboard.
3. Finally, I got to the part where I started filming my RSA video. We got a whiteboard, some markers, my phone to record, and chairs and wood to hold my phone in place. After Rafi had finished recording what he was going to say, I started drawing on a whiteboard while listening to his audio.
4. To put the video together I used a simple program, iMovie. All I did was insert my clips, add the audio and TAH-DAH! All done. If you'd like to check out my short 3 minute RSA video click here!
3. Other People's Process
3 things I really liked about everyone else's RSA Videos
1. I liked how some of the people's videos were just Prezi's and they went into detail. Some were longer than others.
2. I also liked how one of my classmates instead of writing on a whiteboard, they did it instead on notebook paper and I believe it was a stop motion so it looked really awesome.
3. I haven't seen any other besides those but I've heard many people talking about how they created RSA video's but weren't able to get to the audio.
4. Problem Evaluation
The problem was interesting. I really liked how there were two parts to the ferris wheel problem. But It was too long of a project, we should've had less time to figure out all those equations and had more time on actually doing the video instead. All my editing was done at home.
5. Self Assessment
If I could give myself a grade on the overall video, it would be an A-. It definitely could've came with music. And I didn't quite get to include some stop motion scenes like I had originally planned. However, under the circumstances and given time, I'd say that I did a good job editing and drawing. The drawing also could've been more cleaner but I am proud of my work.
