Introduction: The California Innocence Project is an organization made to help exonerate those who are falsely convicted of being guilty, training law students and changing the laws of in California. Many innocent people have already been able to be freed every year thanks to the CIP. Also, several laws have been able to be changed in order to improve the Justice System.

My role in my forensic group was to be the Forensic Psychologist. In order to fully accomplish my role I had to help figure out what caused the crime. I had to be able to identify Eyewitness Error, Eyewitness Identification and learn the crime details.

Case Memos:
Throughout our XONR8 Project we had to go through many case memos in our groups and I found it fairly easy to understand the whole situation our client was in. I just wasn't able to read the writing well because it was in a tight cursive and the story just didn't quite make sense or fit together and there also wasn't enough evidence to put in a word that our appellant should be a candidate for exonerating. We made the decision together that our appellant should not be reviewed to be exonerated by sitting down together as a group and reviewing the evidence we had and what evidence we didn't have and if there was any way we could retrieved the evidence, but because we couldn't get it, we all decided that there was nothing more we could do and nothing more anyone could do.
Exhibition to California Innocence Project:
On Tuesday, October 21st my group presented in front of a Lawyer from the California Innocence's Project and we shared our appellants case and why we thought they should not be put in to be reviewed for exoneration.
1. On a scale of 1 to 4, (1 being the lowest, 4 being the highest), how would you rate your group’s presentation at the law school? Give evidence and reasoning for your rating.
The presentation overall felt like a 4/4. My group mates and I were extremely prepared and we all knew the case fairly well. We were all prepared enough to talk about the whole presentation individually. My team mates and I all agreed we were less nervous than usual which we all felt was a good thing. The Lawyer would ask us questions and each one of us got to answer a question she had because of how prepared we were and how good we knew our case overall.
2. Using the same scale, how would you rate your individual participation and performance in the presentation?
My participation in my group could be rated a 3/4 because although I was able to help make the final decision and I presented to Lawyer's from the CIP, I feel like I could've been more involved with our final case memo and annotating the documents that were handed to us. Also, if I would've been more involved with making the presentation, I would've felt like I did a sufficient amount of work throughout the XONR8 Project.
3. What was a high point? A low point?
A Low Point in the project was finding out if we could retrieve the extra piece of evidence but sadly, we could not. A High Point was presenting to the Lawyer and her being satisfied with our presentation and our overall involvement and not asking to many unsettling questions.
